About

Silo Springs Ranch

Arlin and Audrey Gravelle make up the 2A brand that is Silo Springs Ranch.

My husband, Arlin, and I own and operate Silo Springs Ranch out of Culloden, GA. We have been working on this dream of ours for over a decade but started our first cattle herd in 2020. We sold our first beef in 2021, and have been hooked.

Arlin and I were both previously working in the construction industry, where we met. I've had a drive to have a ranch since I was in the FFA in high school, whereas Arlin is a fifth-generation rancher (but from a very different climate). We strive to raise our cattle right. Our beef is grass-fed and grass-finished, meaning our cows are only ever eating as they were intended to. They grow a little slower that way, and for us that is ok. We don't rush any process with hormones or steroids.

Our cattle are worked by us, and we strive to keep all interactions with the cattle as stress-free as possible. We got in the business to raise cows the right way, and that is our number one priority. If our cows get upset, we call it off and try a different way sometimes on a different day. Even on harvest day, the cattle see only people they have seen before and are handled humanely. We believe that knowing your rancher is a key component to an improved quality food-chain process. At every market, either Arlin or I work our booth, and many times our butcher works the booth with us to help answer questions.

The beef we sell is out of our freezer trailer. Everything is USDA certified, frozen, and vacuum-sealed. There are no preservatives, no dyes, no added water, no msg... nothing in the vacuum-sealed bag but honest beef. In 2023, we added pasture-raised chicken to our offering. We go to a few farmers’ markets, and have a store in Culloden, right on HWY 341 the “Georgia Grown Highway”.

We are small but active on social media. We post about beef offerings and specials on facebook, and show the working ranch on instagram. If you have any questions at all, we love talking beef, please give us a call. 678-852-9880

Silo Springs Ranch got its name after much brainstorming. As a first-generation ranch being the owner of silos was a landmark for Audrey. As someone who comes from a dry and arid climate and having our own springs that bubbled out of the ground in our pastures was a landmark for Arlin. From there it was only natural that Silo Springs Ranch came to be.
